What is the importance to you of being environmentally friendly?
“Helping the planet means making sure I can do anything I can to help. I do that through my job, things like recycling and reusing. There is a slogan, but I can’t remember it, Recycle, reuse, I don’t know what the last one is, which I should do really”

What did you use your Green Loan for?
“To replace a boiler and some radiators in the house”
How has retrofitting your home positively impacted your life?
“Massively. Because the boiler that we had previously must have been about 15 to 20 years old, which therefore had a knock-on effect on heating the house as it took longer to heat the house, using more gas and increasing our bills”
What other options did you think of before getting a Green Loan?
“Well, I’d looked at quite a lot on the internet, I’d spoken to people, family friends. I had looked around at different places, and it wasn’t until I realised that my previous loan was coming to an end, and I thought of South Manchester Credit Union”

“Because it’s just so easy. When you speak to people, when you ring up, when you use the mobile messaging app, it’s brilliant. For people like me who work 5 days a week, it’s hard sometimes to get down here, so to be able to use the app is brilliant.”
