Who are we?
We are a not-for-profit cooperative based in Burnage. For over 24 years, we have made local money work harder for local people, encouraging members to build strong savings habits and offering responsible credit to our members. We rely on member savings to lend to other members in our local community.
We see our members as more than just a credit score. As such, we employ a human approach to personal finance, every day we work to build strong relationships with our members.
How can your savings create an ethical investment?
Your savings help us to continue to invest in local people. We are a lifeline to those in our community who may not be able to access credit through high-street banks, as we offer a fair and affordable alternative to high-cost lenders, payday loans and loan sharks. Our service is proven to improve our members’ well-being and reduce their financial anxiety, supporting them through hardship and reaching milestones on their financial journeys.
Without members of our community regularly depositing into the savings we cannot continue to provide the financial support we offer to local people.
Sandys story
Sandy is a member, she was faced with grief at a young age, as her parents passed away while she was in her mid-20s. She unexpectedly inherited money and needed to find the best place to save it.
